3. METHODS OF PAYMENT

Payment can be made from all devices through credit card, Paypal, cash on delivery and bank transfer.

Credit Card

The main credit cards are accepted, including Visa, Mastercard, Maestro and Postepay.

In case of payment by credit card, the user will be redirected directly to the CartaSi payment portal, where they shall enter the data required to carry out the transaction.

The credit card will be charged when the order is completed.
If an order contains products that have proved to be unavailable as no longer available at the supplier’s, the total amount will be deducted from the sum relating to them.

PayPal

If choosing this payment method the customer will be redirected to the Paypal website, where they can complete the payment procedure by entering their e-mail address and PayPal password.

In this case also, Edizioni Magnamare will not, in any way, get hold of the financial data entered by the customer; rather, they will be solely managed by PayPal.

The PayPal account will be charged immediately after completion of the order.
If an order contains books that have proved to be unavailable as no longer available at the supplier’s, the amount of such items will be automatically reimbursed through the PayPal account.

Advance bank transfer and cash on delivery (COD)

If COD shipping is chosen, with an extra charge of €5.00 the customer can pay directly to the courier (in cash) at package delivery.

If, instead, an advance bank transfer is chosen, Edizioni Magnamare undertakes to keep the products available at a fixed price for a few days, that is the time usually necessary to complete currency transfer formalities (3 or 4 working days) and send the order after payment is made.

4. SHIPPING METHODS

Deliveries in Italy are made through SDA or Bartolini express courier and have a fixed cost of €7.90, when due, regardless of the size and/or weight of the package.

Edizioni Magnamare will deliver the products ordered at the address indicated by the customer, who assumes responsibility for the veracity of the address.

If the customer is not found at the indicated address, the courier will leave a notice and retry delivery the next day. If, again, the customer is not found, the package will be stored at the courier’s warehouse.

At this stage our customer service will try and contact the customer to arrange delivery.
Once 5 working days have elapsed since commencement of storage, without the customer having been contacted or the package having been delivered, the package will be sent back to our warehouse. In this case the order will be cancelled and all transport costs incurred will be withheld (both the costs of delivery and those for return).

At the time of delivery the customer shall check the integrity of the package and report any damage by writing “accepted with reserve” on the courier’s consignment note.
Integrity of the package means that this is not wet, damaged or altered in any way.

Subsequently, the customer shall check the integrity of the books contained in the package and notify our customer service about any damage caused to the books.

Once the courier’s document has been signed, no claims will be possible regarding the external features of the delivery.

Deliveries abroad are made with different couriers depending on destination. The shipping cost is shown at the time of purchase.
Any customs charges will be charged to the recipient.

5. RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Pursuant to Art. 64 et seq. of the Consumer Code, the consumer has the right to withdraw from the purchase with no penalties and without having to specify the reason for it.

A consumer is the one who buys for purposes unrelated to any professional or enterpreneurial activity of theirs. The customer acknowledges that the entering of a VAT number in the purchase order will automatically qualify them as professionals.

A notice of withdrawal can be given, within 10 working days from reception of the products, through e-mail to the address infoline@777ilportolano.it or by means of a registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the following address:
